Getting Started

The Game Screen

On the game screen, you can access to information below:
 [-kyu / -dan] - Dan/Kyu Rank
This tells you the level of the current quiz.
(* See also Dan/Kyu Ranking System)
 
 [-Pts] - Score
This shows you your current score.
When you make a correct answer, you'll get points.
If you clear a level, you can also earn Bonus points.
The higher your rank become, the more score you will get from the beginning of games. (If the item of settings "Starting Level" is set to "Auto".)
 
  - Correct Answers
This is the number of successive correct answers at the current level.
When it reaches a certain number, you clear the level.
 
  - Life Points
This shows you your life force.
Life Points will decrease when you give a wrong answer.
When this number reaches 0, that's the end of the game.
It can be restored to the maximum by clearing a level.



Starting a Game

Touch START button to start in Standard Mode.
Touch PRACTICE button to start in Practice Mode.

Practice Mode differs from Standard Mode in the following points:
  • Starting level is chosen by player.
  • No Score.
  • No Life Points.
  • Not certified your Dan/Kyu Rank.
  • Five successive correct answers is required to clear a level.
    (Three in Standard Mode)


Quitting a Game

To quit a game, press [x] button in the upper corner.
   - Exit button


Dan/Kyu Ranking System

RightBrain+ employs a Dan/Kyu ranking system to indicate your achievement levels.

The ranks are:
level   dan/kyu  grade/degree
lowest 10th kyu 10th grade
  9th kyu 9th grade
  : :
  2nd kyu 2nd grade
: 1st kyu 1st grade
  1st dan 1st degree
  2nd dan 2nd degree
  : :
  9th dan 9th degree
highest 10th dan  10th degree

Your Dan/Kyu Ranks of each game are certified at the end of games according to the highest cleared level.


High Scores

The top 20 scores of each game are displayed on the High Scores View.




Pattern Memory

Overview

Memorize patterns of balls in a short time.

Remember the boxes containing a ball. After the balls disappear, put balls into boxes to match the pattern.


How to Play

First quiz is displayed right after you start the game.
Let's answer the quiz on the procedure below.

Memorize the pattern displayed with green balls.



After the balls disappear, put blue balls into boxes as same as you saw just now.

 
Touch OK button when you have finished putting the balls.

 
If you fail the quiz, the blinking red balls will show you the right answer. 




Sequence Memory

Overview

Memorize sequences precisely.

Remember the order of symbols. After all the symbols appear, point the places one after another.


How to Play

First quiz is displayed right after you start the game.
Let's answer the quiz on the procedure below.

Watch the demonstration and memorize the sequence of symbols.
You can check the present step in lower left of the screen during the demonstration.



After the demonstration, touch the corresponding boxes one after another to match the sequence.
The step is also displayed at this time.

 
Continue to the last symbol to give a right answer.

 
If you mistake on the way, the blinking symbol will show you the right place.










Flash Count

Overview

Grasp numbers of balls at a glance.

Check the target color of ball to count. After all balls appear, tell the number of the target balls quickly.


How to Play

First, check the color of the ball in a box. This indicate the targets you should count.

 
Next, count the target balls and input the number as quick as you can.
To input the number below 10, just touch the corresponding number button.
If the number is 10 or over, you have to indicate it by either of the following ways:
  • Touch and hold [10+] or [20+] and then touch the number, [0] to [9].
  • First, fix the ten's digit by touching [10+] or [20+]. Next, touch the number, [0] to [9].

 
Make a correct answer while the star next to the box appears, and get more points.
Let's challenge to mark the highest score.

 
If you fail because of exceeding limit-time or giving a wrong number, the target balls will start blinking and show you the correct answer.
The correct number will be displayed as well.
